Terms and Conditions

Safety Conditions

Wild Swimming workshops are NOT swimming lessons, if you cannot swim please do not book. Swimming in rivers can be dangerous, you will swim at your own risk. You must follow my instructions at all times, particularly when I say it's time to get out. I reserve the right to end the session early if the weather deteriorates rapidly or if anyone’s safety is compromised.
The water will be
cold, possibly colder than any you’ve experienced before, we will talk about this in the safety briefing at the session.

Please don't swim with any cuts or open wounds, make sure they’re covered with a plaster. There is a tiny possibility of contracting Weil's disease (less than 1 in 10 million)

Don't drink alcohol or take drugs before your swim or possibly even the night before as I may not be able to let you participate in the session. Make sure you have a good meal a few hours before your swim.  If you have any access needs please let me know at the time of booking. You must be able to swim at least 25 metres (in a pool). Do not swim if you are feeling ill or you have any health conditions which could endanger you whilst in the water. Do not drink the water whilst swimming, the water is never safe to drink as wild animals live (and die) in it! Please don't come swimming if you have Covid.
These are the safety conditions that you are agreeing to when you complete the booking form.

We will have a full safety briefing at the beginning of your swim session.

You will not be eligible for a refund if a reasonable alternative has been offered.

My happy clients

  • “I highly recommend Tara for her coaching skills. The time I spent with Tara was very productive and useful in helping me clarify my goals as I move through an important mid-life transition. She is empathic, very supportive and easy to talk to while at the same time realistic and honest in her feedback. She struck a good balance between support, reflective listening and effective questioning as I helped work through the tangle of my ideas.”

    Nancy F

  • “I couldn’t think of anyone I would rather have to hold my hand as I discovered the joys of wild swimming - Tara’s warmth and enthusiasm made the terrifying prospect of immersing myself in cold water an absolute joy!”

    Jess M

  • “It was such good fun - you possibly have the best job in the world! Thank you so much for making it so easy and sharing all your extensive knowledge. Thanks again for a fun start to the day & the tea and cake.”
